John Carboni, President
John has spent 27 years working in the fast-paced world of live television. Having started his career working with Hollywood icons such as Ridley Scott (dir., Alien), Lewis Gilbert (dir., The Spy Who Loved Me) and Gale Anne Hurd (prod., Terminator) he later went on to join the New York Football Giants game day staff, where he spent 13 years providing instant sideline photography to the players and coaching staff. Transitioning to corporate TV, he went on to join the IBM television network, with a reach of over 340,000 employees. During that time, he was part of their daily corporate news broadcast and worked on several weekly live satellite conferences.
In 1995, John started Impact Studios. His visionary insight led Impact Studios to become the first production facility in Connecticut to provide Hollywood-level 3D animation and effects to clients. Over the years, John grew Impact Studios and expanded client offerings to include meeting and event production, consumer activation and experiential marketing. John’s experience in producing live television was a natural fit with the high stakes world of corporate meetings. In 2014, Impact Studios was relaunched as Impact Strategic Marketing with a focus on providing clients a more turn-key solution to their consumer marketing programs.
In addition to his strategic vision, and attention to the tiniest of details, John is focused on providing the highest level of service to our clients.
Suzanne Freedman, Managing Director
Suzanne Freedman joined Impact Strategic Marketing in 2015 as Managing Director, after spending 2+ decades as a marketing professional within the beverage alcohol industry. She started her career working within a prominent New York City advertising agency, then took a brand marketing position at William Grant & Sons, managing the advertising and PR for their portfolio of premium spirits. While at William Grant, Suzanne launched The Balvenie Single Malt Scotch, which has won several awards for both product and packaging.
In 2001, Suzanne joined Pernod Ricard USA as the senior brand manager of Jameson Irish Whiskey. She was later promoted to Brand Director on the gin portfolio, including Beefeater, Plymouth and Boodles Gin. In 2007, Suzanne was one of two employees asked to pioneer the Trade Marketing department at Pernod, which today has 30+ employees. While in this role, Suzanne created and led the development of the largest, most successful trade initiative within the spirits business today. This program, called BarSmarts was – and still is -- the leading spirits education and certification program available to the trade. As a result of launching this program, Pernod has become the undisputed leader in customer/trade loyalty in the industry.
In 2014, Suzanne joined Sidney Frank Importing Company as the Vice President of On Premise Trade Marketing. While there, she developed strategies and programs for the 20+ brand ambassadors for Jagermeister, as well as other tactical programs and trade initiatives. Suzanne’s marketing and strategic expertise, as well as her communication skills and understanding of client needs, makes her a strong business partner at Impact Strategic Marketing.
Bob Evans, Creative Director
Bob is a true creative ace with enthusiasm and passion for developing innovative and unique projects. He is also a veteran of the NY Giants, having worked as Sponsorship & Activation Lead for the team for many years. Prior to joining Impact Strategic Marketing, Bob also was VP, Creative Marketing for Timex Company. Bob has led our creative department, working in the physical and digital workspace to make beautifully unique work that cuts through the noise and helps our clients tell their stories.
Bob holds a BFA in graphic design from Central CT State University and is very active in his community, coaching youth football and baseball.
Dr. Yohan Jeffereis, Director of Educational Design
Yohan has extensive experience in designing, developing and testing eLearning content using graphics, screen capture, video and animation. He is an expert in the multimedia production process and has over 20 years of experience in using the latest technology to train students of all levels. Yohan has the proven skills to design successful training curricula using standard instructional design methodology (ADDIE), information mapping, needs assessment and evaluation techniques. He is not only very talented in developing self-guided training programs, but is quite compelling as a host of live seminars and webinars.
Yohan earned his doctorate from the prestigious Columbia Teachers College and has been with Impact since 1995.
John Casale, Director of Cinematography & Producer
A veteran of the advertising world, John brings over 30 years of experience directing and producing television programming. Whether he is working on long form videos or 30-second commercials, John is an expert story teller, finding the right mix of emotion, humor and stunning visuals which compels his audience to be fixated on the screen. John has directed hundreds of video projects with an overarching philosophy to create beautifully simple xxx
John has been with Impact Studios since 1997, and is continually honing his craft, staying up on the latest developments in digital cinema technology and techniques. As the media landscape changes, so does John. Not simply by embracing the digital media revolution but by mastering it.
