Tunnel To Towers Live Boxing

When Visionarists, a NYC marketing agency, needed a seasoned partner for a challenging live broadcast, they turned to Impact Studios. Tunnel to Towers Foundation sought to televise a series of live charity boxing events across New York City, launching with the "Thrilla in Camilla" from Rockaway Beach. The event consisted of 12 boxing bouts, in which American firefighters fought against their European counterparts. With a formidable deadline of only a few weeks, Impact Studios’ broadcast would help transform the bare oceanfront property into a dynamic broadcast hub, featuring a professional boxing ring, FDNY-provided stadium lighting, and Impact Studios drove in a fully equipped 35-foot production truck. The six-hour twilight event was a resounding success, captivating tens of thousands of online viewers and raising substantial funds for Tunnel to Towers' vital mission.

Leveraging this momentum, Impact Studios delivered an even more ambitious production for Tunnel to Towers: "First Responders Unite" at the 8,000-seat Staten Island Ferry Hawks baseball stadium. This event celebrated NYC's first responders through an electrifying night of boxing.  Impact Studios again deployed the capable mobile unit, with John Carboni simultaneously directing and technical directing the live broadcast. This extraordinary event featured a dramatic harbor-based emergency services demonstration and a thrilling low-altitude flyover by an NYPD helicopter, injecting layers of spectacle and emotional resonance. While the stadium crowd was impressive, it was dwarfed by the tens of thousands who tuned in via livestream, ensuring Tunnel to Towers' crucial fundraising efforts were a resounding triumph.

These successful collaborations with Visionarists and Tunnel to Towers highlight Impact Studios' expertise in executing complex, high-stakes live productions while championing a deeply meaningful mission. We are honored to have played a pivotal role in supporting Tunnel to Towers' unwavering dedication to honoring America's heroes.

To ensure a broadcast of exceptional quality, the live production truck employed a suite of top of the line equipment. Audio was managed by a Soundcraft Vi1000 mixer, leveraging Dante and MADI for pristine sound reproduction. Communication was facilitated by a wireless Clear-Com intercom system, ensuring reliable coms. Instant replays were handled by a 3-Play Replay system, while 4K HyperDeck recorders captured every moment for archival purposes. Finally, a Haivision transmission system ensured a reliable and high-quality broadcast signal to the world.
